Leaf Turkeys
A few years ago, my daughters, Katie, then age eight, and Becca, then seven, went a bit overboard with their autumn leaf collecting. We had so many leaves, but they were all too beautiful to simply throw back outside, so the girls created their own colorful leaf turkeys. They each drew a kid-size turkey shape on craft paper, cut it out, added a face, and glued on their colorful leaves for feathers. We hung them on the front and back doors at Thanksgiving for all of our guests to see.
